This year, we’ve had a proper summer – a “hot days on the beach, warm nights with friends, Beach Boys in the background” kind of summer. So, Wouldn’t it be nice to do something really summery and support a really worthwhile charity at the same time? Well, so Help me Rhonda, that’s what we at DarkStar are going to do at the Endless Summer Volkswagen Festival at War Memorial Park in Basingstoke.
With hundreds of current, vintage and custom cars and vans revving their engines, there should be enough Good Vibrations for everyone. There are food stalls, live bands (I can hear music!), trade stands and all sorts of other attractions – so it should be Fun, Fun, Fun!!
Once again, the festival is raising funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace which are hospices supporting children and young people from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Dorset, the Isle of Wight and beyond. So, it’s for a very good, local, cause and, God only knows, they need and deserve our support.
We are supplying two fantastic DarkStar tents, staging, lights and sound systems free of charge - you can buy charity T-shirts, pay the entry fee of only £5 per vehicle (so you can take Judy, Barbara Ann and Lady Lynda at no extra cost) or just make a donation – it all helps.
We’re not sure how many California Girls will get to the festival, but we hope to see loads of you from Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Surrey and anywhere else really – but if you can’t make it, Don’t worry Baby…
So, August 12th, 2018 – forget about Surfin’ USA, get down to the War Memorial park and start Boogying in Basingstoke instead.
